The Mt. San Jacinto Community College District Board of Trustees unanimously adopted a 2020-2021 Budget during its meeting on Thursday, Oct. 8.
Out of an abundance of caution amid rising COVID-19 cases in Riverside County, ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø (MSJC) and the MSJC Foundation have canceled its Cruz-In at the College Campus community drive-in movie series that began Oct. 2 at the college's Menifee Valley Campus.
·¬ÇÑÉçÇø will host several virtual events and a drive-in movie presentation of "Milk" during its second annual MSJC Pride Week starting Oct. 6.
·¬ÇÑÉçÇø's Spring 2021 semester will offer mostly online courses when it begins Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021 as the district continues to keep health and safety a priority during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

·¬ÇÑÉçÇø (MSJC) began its Fall 2020 semester on Monday, Aug. 17, with thousands of students enrolled in online classes amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø 98 percent of MSJC's courses are online this fall to help further reduce the spread of COVID-19. Hands-on courses - Career Education classes in automotive, nursing and diagnostic medical sonography (DMS), for example - will be held on MSJC campuses when necessary.
The Help a Student grant is an institutional program that will allow students who are not eligible for Financial Aid and/or EOPS to apply for funds to cover books, supplies, and institutional fees up to $250.00.
·¬ÇÑÉçÇø (MSJC) Political Science major James Crawford has been named a 2020 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar and will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
We may not be able to attend a concert in a large or quaint venue right now, but thanks to the ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø (MSJC) Foundation, we can still rock out at a virtual concert.
